Our CPA Tax Preparation Outsourcing Process
We begin by receiving all information, documents, current year tax organizers, and financial statements from the customer via a secure file-sharing platform. When we receive information, we first examine the prior year's return (if applicable) to ensure that the information is complete and take note of any carrying forward balances. Before we begin entering data into the tax software, we analyze and double-check the balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other relevant data received from the client for the three C's: correctness, consistency, and completeness, so that any apparent mismatches can be identified and corrected before beginning the return preparation process. After verifying the accuracy of the information provided, we connect into the client's system and software for taxes and treat all things in the tax software, including deductions, credits, carry forward balances, and so on. Finally, we send tax return and computation PDF files to clients for approval, along with our comments, observations, and questions. After receiving confirmation from the customer, we make any necessary modifications and file the return.
